Ace Trash Busters has two different 20-yard dumpsters to fit your space or renovation needs: One measures 18 x 8 x 4’ high, and for tighter spaces, the other is a bit higher but not as long, 15 x 8 x 6′ high. Not sure what size junk rental bin you may need? After more than 30 years in the dumpster rental business, we can help you choose the best size for your job.

Measuring a 20-Yard Dumpster:

Understand the dimensions:
20-yard dumpsters aren’t always the same. Ours at Ace Trash Busters are slightly different shapes to accommodate your space or renovation needs. One measures 18 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 4 feet high, while the other is 15 feet long, and 8 feet wide, and 6 feet high. These measurements tell you the volume of waste it can hold.

Calculate the cubic yardage: To determine the volume in cubic yards, multiply the length, width, and height of the dumpster (18 ft x 8 ft x 4 ft = 576 cubic feet) or (15 ft x 8 ft x 6 ft = 720 cubic feet) Then, divide the cubic feet by 27 (the number of cubic feet in a cubic yard) to get approximately 21 cubic yards and 27 cubic yards respectively.
